Your Greek Island Painting Holiday Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival Day
Day 2: Sightseeing Tour
Embark on a scenic coach tour of the island, stopping at Aggia Savvas Monastery (St Sebastian) to admire stunning views and capture some memorable photos. The journey continues to Vlyhadia, where you can enjoy a light lunch and, if you wish, a refreshing dip in the sea (optional).
In the evening, join us for a welcome meal at a local taverna, perfectly timed at 7:30 pm to watch the sunset.
Day 3: Let the Painting Begin
Spend the morning exploring the local area of Myrties, which offers an abundance of picturesque painting opportunities.
We can set up at a local taverna for demonstrations or informal painting sessions, allowing you to ease into the creative spirit. Lunch is arranged at Smugglers, and the afternoon is yours to enjoy at leisure.
Day 4: Discover Telendos
Enjoy a full day on the peaceful island of Telendos, just a short 10-minute ferry ride away. We’ll base ourselves at Kapsoulis Taverna, where your bags will be securely looked after.
The island offers a variety of subjects, including ruins, boats, and charming café scenes. After breaking for lunch, painting continues until around 4 pm. Ferries run every half hour, giving you the flexibility to stay longer if desired.
Day 5: Explore Pothia
Travel by coach or taxi to Pothia, the island’s main town.
The area features fascinating Italian-influenced architecture, quaint backstreets, and the impressive Orthodox Church for those seeking a grander subject. Lunch will be arranged in town before returning to Myrties.
Day 6: Emborios
Depending on the weather, we’ll travel to Emborios by boat or coach, offering a breathtaking journey with spectacular views. Once there, we’ll base ourselves at Harry’s Bar, a picturesque spot adorned with vibrant flowers.
After lunch, you can choose to continue painting at the bar or take a walk down to the scenic seafront.
Day 7: Vathy
A coach trip takes us to Vathy, a stunning location with a dramatic, fjord-like entrance. The area is rich with painting subjects, from charming cafés and boats to serene tree-lined views and hidden gems. After a morning of painting, we’ll break for lunch before heading back.
In the evening, celebrate the end of a wonderful trip with a farewell dinner at Avra Taverna, which offers gorgeous views over Telendos. It’s a pleasant 15-minute stroll from Myrties.
Day 8: Departure Day
Transfers will be arranged to the port of Pothia, where we’ll be on hand to ensure a smooth and safe departure.
