A Little About Me
Painting has been a big part of my life for many years and it continues to give me as much enjoyment today as when I first started. I enjoy working in watercolour, acrylic, pastel and mixed media, choosing the medium that best suits the subject. Much of my inspiration comes from the coastline, countryside and places I have visited over the years.
Alongside creating original artwork, I teach weekly painting classes and organise painting holidays where people can spend time developing their skills, trying different techniques and enjoying painting with others. Teaching has introduced me to many wonderful people over the years and I still enjoy seeing students grow in confidence and develop their own style.

Painting holidays are a wonderful opportunity to spend time being creative, meet other artists and enjoy painting in inspiring surroundings. I organise holidays at carefully chosen venues around the UK and have also taught in Italy, Greece and Portugal.
Every holiday includes demonstrations, practical guidance and plenty of time to work on your own paintings in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
Art Classes
Sue has the artistic ability to demonstrate a number of different painting techniques. Due to her expertise with so many media, Sue can explain the creative use of different materials, the importance of composition and getting the best from photos and sketches. With the objective of encouraging students to achieve their own goals and to develop their creative ideas, Sue hosts weekly classes in the Saltburn by Sea area.
